Turboman

Jingle All The Way trailer

Turbo Man action figure produced by TIGER Electronics Inc. in 1996 made exclusively for Wal-Mart. It is from the 1996 movie Jingle All the Way which is the last comedy to date that Arnold Schwarzenegger starred in. It stood an impressive 13.5" tall, and featured electronic lights and sounds. Got this from a seller last month.

As you can see in the pics below, the box had seen better days. The previous owner told me he purchased this in Hollywood Studios in Fukuoka,Japan. The box's top flap has been taped in all corners which i painstakingly removed but without suffering some minor peels and also the tape adhesive still remains. The box has fading as well as the cardboard insert which is probably due to sun exposure. There is a hole on the box front which was caused, i guess, by mice making it as an entrace to it's temporary home. Plastic window has yellowing and it's beginning to detached itself from the box.
In regards to the toy itself, thank God it didn't suffer from any imperfections that the box housing has attained. The figure has no yellowing or breakage and never been removed from it's twisties and the accessories never taken out from it's sealed bubble.
Being a vintage toy, naturally i had to know if the electronics still works, and yes, it does work! Lights and sounds works perfectly!

I have started to initially clean up the box and cardboard insert as well as the figure itself. In a few days, i'll work on the clingy old tape adhesive residue before i finally store this wonderfull toy to a safe place.

Really love this toy and truly satisfied with it even though the box has suffered some damage. The head sculpt looks a little bit like Arnold from the movie itself. A rare piece of movie memorabilia!
